Hand crafted in Pennsylvania USA these pots and pans are used in professional kitchens and homes around the world. The All Clad D3 Stainless cookware set comes with:

  • 8-inch frypan
  • 10-inch frypan
  • 2-quart saucepan (with lid)
  • 3-quart saucepan (with lid)
  • 3-quart saute pan (with lid)
  • 8-quart stockpot (with lid)

Features and Benefits

Fast and even heating due to the aluminum core and then 2 layers of 18/10 stainless steel. The stainless-steel handles are also riveted and offer sturdy and safe gripping. These pots and pans from All-Clad are broiler safe up to 600degF and are compatible with gas, induction and also electric cooktops. This cookware set is warp resistant and the stainless steel interior gives natural stick resistance that allows you to know when the food is ready to release. Stainless steel also does not react with food so there is not metallic taste that can be transferred to the food.

What could be better

There is one small thing for us which may be a big thing for others. The inner aluminum strip is exposed on the rim of these pots and pans – what this means is that they are not really dishwasher safe. It is just a small strip on the edge, roughly about 2mm in width. If you were to put these in the dishwasher over-time then they would suffer from some corrosion. Simple fix – don’t put your good pots and pans in the dishwasher – the same goes for your good kitchen knives.

Also some people complain about these pots and pans suffering from discoloration after use, actually this is an operator error. When cooking with stainless steel you need to heat up your pan, then add oil, then wait for the oil to heat up before cooking your food. Then once you have finished cooking with them you should wait for them to cool down before washing.

Who Is It for?

If you love cooking up a storm in the kitchen then these are the pots and pans for you. As mentioned above you need to at least know a bit about cooking with stainless steel otherwise you will be complaining about food sticking and then blaming it on your pots and pans. Newsflash – if you ever set foot in a professional kitchen you will notice that they really only use stainless (sometimes copper) – there are no non-stick pans in any restaurant that has a chef that is knowledgeable and actually knows what they are doing. So with that said these pots and pans are fantastic if you know how to cook or at least if you are willing to learn how to cook properly!

Final Verdict

All Clad make some of the best pots and pans on the pans on the planet and this set is no different. But as mentioned above – you should kind of know what you are doing, make sure you use oil, preheat you pans and please for goodness sake keep your good stuff out of the dishwasher.

Cons

Even though they come with a ‘lifetime’ guarantee – according to Consumer Reports, the lifespan of all non-stick pots & pans is 5 years. They recommend getting a new set, even if there aren’t any issues, every 5-7 years. (7 years is the absolute maximum to use them but not guaranteed for the extra two years). Some users on Amazon also complained that the set is not dishwasher safe and there is some discoloration.

Usually pans will warp if you put them in cold water too fast before allowing them to cool down properly.

Who is this Pots and Pans set for?

This pots and pans set is perfect for someone who isn’t looking to spend too much cash but is also looking for something that will do the job up to a reasonable standard. Great for the novice cook or even someone who knows what they are doing this is a great set of “high end – mid level pans” – much better than a lot of the other cheaper garbage out there.

Final Verdict
